Ragnar
Matt was talked into running the Ragnar Northwest Passage by his sisters. This is a race from Blaine WA to Langley WA (approx 188 miles). The format of the race is each team has 12 members with 6 people in each vehicle. Here is a picture of vehicle #2 for Matt's team "Where's Is The Finish Line" or WTF...L in Bellingham, WA. The race started on Friday morning and ended for Matt's team Saturday at noon.
Each team would decorate their vehicle.

Cooling down...
Friday evening refueling after completing the first six legs and getting ready for the night legs.
Running at night from about 9:00 pm til 3:00 am with reflective vests, head, and tail lights.
Matt had a interesting route at night. He ran over Deception Pass in darkness at about 2:20 AM.
The team was able to get some sleep for a couple hours in the very early hours of Saturday AM. Sleeping in a school gym with 100 other fellow runners was interesting.
On the side of the suburban they kept track of the total miles ran and how many were remaining.

Matt on his last leg of the race. By far the hardest of the three legs. In total Matt ran 17 miles in the race.
Next year...Maybe...
