She's One!

Izabel just turned one. We had a little family party for her on her birthday. Since she couldn't tell us what kind of cake she wanted, Jama decided to try out this fun watermelon cake.
It is nice living close to family. Matt's parents, his sister Stephanie and her family, and his Brother Josh and his kids were able to come help us celebrate our little girl.

Izabel is our little princess.

Although she doesn't always want to be. Her tiara stayed on all of 2 seconds.

She seemed to enjoy her cake. She was a bit timid at first, but once she realized that it tasted good, she dug right in.

She had a good time opening gifts with the help of her big brother Quinn.

Cousins.

Quinn enjoyed wearing Izabel's tiara. At least someone got some use out of it.

Izabel's aunt Melisa took a few pictures of her a couple days before her birthday. This face is pretty typical lately. Her stubborness is showing through.

She's a momma's girl for sure.

Izabel also had her 1-yr checkup the day after her birthday. Here are her stats:

Length: 29 in. (50%)

Head Circumference: 45 cm (50%)

She's a healthy average one year old.

Still not walking all the time. She does take a few steps here and there though. She can do it, just a little lazy and stubborn we think.
