All Aboard The Birthday Express

Quinn wanted a train party this year, so Jama made these "tickets" to invite all his little friends to join us on Quinn's Birthday Express.

Welcome to McKinney Junction.
As the kids arrived, they were given an engineers hat and sent to the train yard.
Once everyone arrived, they began "Engineer Training."
First up was "Whistle Training," where they had to follow strings to find their own train whistles and practice blowing them.

Next up was "Train Construction." They decorated and built paper trains.

After building their trains, they needed to load up some coal to make the steam engines go. "Train Operation." We made a little relay out of it.

Finally, was the "Caboose Roundup." Or, pin the caboose on the train.

Quinn kept taking off his blindfold. He still wasn't even close. :)

After eight little engineers earned their certificates...
...it was time for lunch.

The birthday boy was ready for cake.
Make-A-Wish.
Yum!
Hooray for presents...

...and Friends.
Before leaving, all the kids had their photo taken with Thomas. We sent their pictures to them with Quinn's thank-you cards.

The party was a success. Quinn had a great time and can't wait until next year.

Even Izzy had a good time.

He's getting so big. What a fun party idea, you should put it on Tip Junkie. How are things going?

Ande, things are going ok here in rainy washington. Can't wait for summer though. So glad to hear that you guys are doing ok in Okinawa.

Kim, I'd love to throw you a train party. Come on up to Washington and I'll throw you a big shindig. I still have all the stuff. Yes, I made the cake.
