Mt. Hood Railroad

Jama and the kids drove to Portland to meet up with her brother Mike and his family and Grandma and Grandpa Martin. After a nice lunch, the first stop was a park to wear the kids out and let them have some cousin time.
Then back to the hotel where they swam and played hard till late at night.

The next morning we all got up early and headed to Hood River where we arrived just in time to catch our train at the Mt. Hood Railroad.

We rode up in the dome car and had a great ride up the mountain to Troutdale.

The view of Mt. Hood was beautiful.

The train stopped for an hour and we got out to eat lunch and run around a bit.

Then back on the train for the ride down.

Izabel decided Grandma's lap was the perfect spot to take a nap.

Quinn was so worn out that he actually slept for a while too.

Quinn and David got to go down to the front of the train and watch for a while.

The kids got a sneak peak at Thomas who was at the railroad station. Quinn and Izzy are more anxious now to see him in a few weeks.

After a fun filled day with cousins we said goodbye and headed back to Portland to spend one more night with Grandma and Grandpa. The next day we drove home. I think Quinn was a little tired.
